Domain Name Recovery

Representation in recovering domain names registered anywhere in the world by third parties, through acquisitions or ADR

Why should we use Nicholas Weston?

We assist clients by delivering on time, in full, shortening your timeline to recover the domain name, wherever it is in the world. We solve our client’s problem of having its internet traffic diverted through technical expertise and superior project management systems that we have developed to marshall and present evidence and the submissions.

We are service focused. Our relationships with our clients are based on trust, transparency, open communication and doing what we say we are going to do.

How do we do it?

The firm’s Principal, Nick Weston, is one of the most talented IP professionals in Australia. He serves as an expert panelist in domain name ownership disputes for the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and has approximately 120 decisions over the past 13 years. He has also served as the CEO of a publicly listed technology company and understands business from an operational rather than just an advisory point of view.

Nick is passionate about going the extra mile to stop infringers and solve other challenges that are faced by brand owners on the internet.

He uses direct representations and cease-and-desist letters, as well as the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), its Australian counterpart the auDRP, and other dispute resolution procedures to obtain the transfer or deletion of third party domain name registrations made in bad faith.

What can we do for you?

Like most M&A lawyers, we offer technical competence in M&A. We combine this with decades of experience on-the-tools, gained working inside and acting for mid-market tech companies (listed, unlisted and owner operated), giving us an ability to anticipate menaces to navigation and guide you through the options on the path to closing, as we have for others, many, many times previously.
