Nick Weston brings extensive experience closing both buy-side and sell-side and financing deals for public and private mid-market companies. He takes a thoughtful, strategic approach to M&A and investment transactions informed by eight years as a Managing Principal and General Counsel to mid-market, cross-border M&A firm Eaton Square which has more than 180 principals in 12 countries where he has routinely supervised many deals to closing. In a previous role, Nick was the CEO of a publicly listed company and managed a number of international transactions in his time there.

His deep understanding of M&A — not just as an advisor but as an executive with skin-in-the-game — brings a step-wise and seamless approach to deal structuring, drafting term sheets, finance, due diligence, earn-outs, warranties, insurances, ESOPS, negotiating and drafting definitive agreements, and completing deals.

Nick’s work is very transparent and competitive from a cost standpoint and is not delegated to juniors. He can step in at any point or run the deal from start to finish. He is also deeply experienced in structuring, due diligence, negotiating and documenting the transaction, advising on the usual issues relating to taxation, the Corporations Act, employment and benefit schemes, competition law, intellectual property, property issues, litigation, foreign ownership consents, and other government regulations that may impact a transaction.
